Whether you decide to or not to go with us for your new fluffy family member take the bellow advice into account when picking a puppy from a safe, healthy and happy environment, avoiding illegal puppy farming, that does not take animal welfare into consideration and sells puppies for illegal financial gain. Tips for spotting a good breeder: -when you visit, the mum must be with the litter. -happy to answer any questions -happy to show you their Local Authority licence IF they're breeding and selling pets as a business -be happy to let you inside where they’re breeding their puppies. It should be in a clean, warm, dry, quiet, safe and suitable for the mother and puppies. -the mother and pups should look healthy: not underweight, wounded/injured, assess how the mum behaves. Be sure that this is the mother of this litter by seeing if her nipples are enlarged. -a good way of checking for a good and legal breeder is by asking for a health check report from the vet. Which includes evidence of their vaccines, and flea and worm treatment (this is from 6-8weeks of age). -also avoid scams, visit the puppies before making any payments, including deposits.
